Time is running out to stop the deportation of Maribel Trujillo, an Ohio mother of four U.S. Citizens who the community is rallying behind. Right now Maribel is being transferred to a detention center in Louisiana, where Trump’s Deportation Force will prepare to rip Maribel away from her family and community in Ohio. Immigrant advocates in Ohio have been making calls on behalf Maribel for the past couple of days, but now we need your help if we are to prevent Donald Trump from deporting Maribel.

During the Crusades, Saint Francis of Assisi risked his life by walking across enemy lines to meet the Sultan of Egypt, the Muslim ruler Al-Malik al Kamil.  This encounter, and the commitment to peace of the two men behind it, changed the relationship between Muslims and Christians for the better.  This story is now being told in  Unity Productions Foundation (UPF)'s latest film "The Sultan and the Saint".

This class will explore Nature as a source of spiritual growth: Nature as scripture, communing with nature, seeing and experiencing nature with awareness and appreciation.  In this class of five sessions plus at least one excursion, we will ground ourselves briefly in theology from the Transcendentalist tradition, then mix the cognitive with the experiential as we explore awareness, indigenous teachings, the wisdom of the body, cosmology, and beauty.

The Burrerfly Pavillion is coming to our Metamorphosis Auction on Saturday night, May 6th.  Butterfly Pavilion will be bringing an education booth and guests can stop by our booth to meet, touch and get to know some live invertebrates like hermit crabs, learn what lives under a log, ask questions, and learn tall about what Butterfly Pavilion has to offer!  *does not include Rosie.
