A very special shout out to First Unitarian’s History and Legacy Committee Chair Susan Robertson, who wrote a successful $5000 grant application so First Unitarian can digitize and better preserve its fragile nineteenth- and early twentieth-century records. The grant, from the Colorado Historical Records Advisory Board (CHRAB), stood out as especially compelling due to the rich layer of personalities and anecdotes Susan shared in the application.

Two fabulous groups of volunteers are forming for folks of all ages and levels of experience.  Take this opportunity to meet new people and work together to move our First Unitarian renovation forward.  We need person power. Volunteers under the age of 18 are very welcome with parent permission.

Now is a great time to check the lost and found box at First Unitarian, located right outside the first floor restrooms.  Water bottles especially are overflowing the box. All lost and founds remaining in this area by May 27th will be donated to the free Garage Sale on the 28th. There are also abandoned items in other areas in the building.

First Unitarian will not physically host Family Promise Guests in our building until after our upcoming renovations are completed. Some of our sister congregations in the program are graciously and selflessly offering their spaces for extra weeks this year in order to fill the gaps. To make that work, we need volunteers who are willing to partner with these congregations so they don’t run out of volunteers from their own congregations.
