Are We There Yet?
After our successful and “fun” annual meeting, attended by over 140 members, we are all anxious to find other ways to stay connected with our beloved First Unitarian community throughout the Spring and Summer. Well, your Auction Committee is going to make that happen, with a mini-auction! It’s another chance to connect us with one another and also add a little to the church’s revenues this year.
The Mini-Auction 2021 is coming and the theme is “Are We There Yet?” We will be all online again, but stay tuned as we develop a Virtual Live Auction (Getaways) on Zoom to add to the fun!
All donations will need to be entered from April 1st to April 27th. You can include photographs with your donations, too.
Bidding in the Auction will start May 1st and continue through May 27th. The tentative date for a “Live” Auction on Zoom is Sunday, May 30th.
We will repeat 4 popular categories: Homemade Foods, Themed Baskets, Goods and More, and Dinners/Events. Donors, get your thinking caps back on and note the Homemade Goods Hit Parade: 1. We’ll all scream for ice cream! 2. A close second—Cookies a month! 3. Sourdough bread, made by our top bakers. Is your mouth watering yet? Popular Themed Baskets include: Books! Also, Racial Justice, and Jigsaw Puzzles, and more!.
We are all missing our in-person church Community, so this is one way to have great connections with others and raise money for our church budget.
Our Auctions are always a great way to meet new people and build community, so we hope everyone will take a look, make a donation or three in April, and get ready to bid on the terrific offerings in the Auction!
