Attention First Unitarian Drivers: Parking Pass Update

Currently we are collecting all LAZ parking passes—including both rearview mirror hang tags and paper passes. Please bring your old parking pass to church this Sunday to exchange it for a new one. A parking table will be available in the Community Room to collect old passes and answer any questions you may have.
Due to a change in management of the Alta parking lot located across Lafayette Street, new parking passes for this lot will now be labeled “FUSD Church Parking.”
Please note that the approved parking days and hours remain unchanged:
Weekdays: Parking is permitted after 6:00 PM
Saturdays & Sundays: Parking is permitted all day

This Is an Uprising! Our Democracy Action Team at First Unitarian is convening a book discussion group on the book “This Is an Uprising: How Nonviolent Revolt Is Shaping the Twenty-First Century” by Mark Engler and Paul Engler. Discussion Group conveners are from the Democracy Action Team and are Arnie Carter, Evelyn Hanssen, and Paul Riederer. To join the group and mailing list announcing future discussion sessions, jus email your contact info to fusdrapidresponse@gmail.com and type in the subject line: “I want to join the Uprising study group” or simply call or text Evelyn Hanssen at 720-380-0605 or Paul Riederer at 720-935-2145. Waitlist for Free House Concerts This Summer
|
Would you like to attend a house concert this summer—hear great music, enjoy delicious food, and meet people of different generations—but the cost makes it difficult? Here’s an opportunity for you.
Occasionally, ticket holders have to cancel at the last minute and donate their seats. Rather than let those spots go empty, which is disappointing to musicians and chefs alike, we’re creating a waitlist for people who would love to attend.
Fill out this short contact form, and when a seat opens up, a group message will be sent out. The first to respond gets the seat. More details are on the form.
It’s a win-win for everyone involved—and a wonderful way to enjoy an evening of music, food, and community.
Please direct any questions to Charlotte Braud-Kern 720-938-7423 or charlottebraudkern@gmail.com

Looking for That Older Car
|
(Thanks to Nina Nadeau for the post)
Hi everyone,
I’m looking for a reliable older vehicle. Colfax — which, as many of you know, sometimes feels like Denver’s unofficial obstacle and bumper-car course — has succeeded in claiming my vehicle.
If anyone has a car they’re planning to sell, donate, or get rid of, please call or message me.

Thank you!
