Religious Exploration

  • Welcome to Religious Exploration at First Unitarian Denver! Our mission is to provide your child with a safe, challenging environment in which to learn and grow, connect with other children, and explore their own developing spirituality. We believe this is best accomplished through participative learning, and an active exploration of age-appropriate materials. A central tenet of our program is that religious education is a community endeavor as much as an individual experience. As such, our classroom encounters are built around the ideals of tolerance, inclusion, and respect for others.

Our Whole Lives Stories

Register for RE

Parents need to enroll their children in the RE program. This helps us communicate upcoming events and changes to programming. It also helps us better manage our room resources. Our registration process is now 100% paperless. Please either register or visit our Welcome Table on Sundays.

Additonal Youth Programs

Our Whole Lives

The revolutionary Our Whole Lives program teaches kids age-appropriate lessons about healthy relationships, their human sexuality, and respecting others.

Imagine Camp

Come hang out with us for the summer as we participate in fun activities like crafts, sports, games, and music! Best of all? You'll make a ton of new friends.

Family Retreats

We take a few annual trips in large groups ready to roast marshmallows, sing, hike, and go swimming. Sign up early to reserve your spot for our camping and hiking trips.

Coming of Age

This is a challenging, life altering curriculum for 7-8th graders designed to assist parents and children as they navigate through this complex time of development.

Youth Pageant

Out pageants are a blast! This year we loved our first  "No-Rehearse" pageant that told the story of the birth of Jesus from the stable animals' point of view.

Child Dedications

Interested  in enacting a sacred bond between your children and our exceptional congregation? It is a beautiful ritual, performed twice annually by  Rev. Morran.

Love Working with Youth?

This might be the perfect experience for you. We're always seeking patient, kind, enthusiastic volunteers in the Religious Exploration area of our church.  Our kids have boundless energy and we love trying to keep up!
