Climate Justice

Climate Justice

Climate change is occurring in many places on the Earth, and its undeniable effects are increasingly felt locally and globally. The long term impacts snowballing from climate change are too numerous to list inclusively, but include such weighty topics as our food supply, water supply, clean air to breathe, employment, shelter and property loss, health status, loss of life from natural and unnatural disasters, energy disruptions, the global economy, scarcity of resources (which leads to wars and aggression), poverty, and other injustices. We believe we need to maintain a sustainable planet Earth and its interrelated climate systems.  First Unitarian Society of Denver has recently established a climate justice circle focused on local and statewide actions regarding climate justice in Colorado.
