2021 Community Preservation Award

(thanks to Helen Berkman for the post)-Your Property Management Committee is excited to announce that our historic building has been awarded a 2021 Community Preservation Award from Historic Denver, Inc. Our congregation is especially pleased to receive this award in 2021, our 150th anniversary year!  First Unitarian Church was founded in 1871, five years before Colorado became a state.  We are honored that our commitment to remaining in the heart of Denver for our entire history has led to receiving this award this year. Our structure, with its rugged Castle Rock stonework, is perfectly symbolic of our history – how we have set down our roots and been grounded in central Denver for 150 years just like the stones themselves. Mike Morran and Kathy Cranmer plan to represent First Unitarian at the awards dinner at the Brown Palace on October 28th. For more information, see
