We’re All Swimming to the Other Side

This Spring Auction (Saturday, April 28th)  is a little different, due to our off-site venue, the Althea Center on Williams and 14th Ave. Althea does have two small parking lots—one on the north side of the building and one to the east of the building before the alley, but otherwise, there is street parking.
We will have the Live Auction, Getaways, Dinners/Events, and possibly some Services. Bid sheets will be out for sign-ups for the Silent Auction portion of our event. The Live Auction will follow. Our data entry folks will input everything, but we will not be taking payments after the auction, so there will be no check-out that evening. The bid sheets and the live auction tallies will be taken back to the office for bills to be generated through the auction software, and folks will receive their bills via email, or snail mail for those who do not use email. Glenn expects to be able to offer links for credit card payments, but you can pay by check or cash and either send it to church or bring it on Sunday at Manual HS.
We plan to have a second auction for “stuff” in September at FUSD after in-gathering. Because of this arrangement, we have decided to sell tickets in the following way: If you plan to go to both auctions, the fee will be $20 apiece, but if you only plan to attend one, the fee will be $15. Tickets for new members from the past year will be offered at $15 for both auctions or $10 for only one. Children are free, as usual. Tickets will go on sale March 11.
Stellar Catering will provide our food and we’ll be having wine or beer from Argonaut. We will also have lemonade or water for those who would prefer non-alcohol drinks. Any cost of beverages will be part of the bill you receive. Childcare will be available, but parents who expect to bring their children need to notify Erin Kenworthy so we will have an accurate count and appropriate care supervision.
Mark your calendars now, we can’t wait to have you come celebrate the First Unitarian Community with us.
