Social Justice Book Club

Monday, August 28th, 7:00p, Stella's Coffee House, 1476 S. Pearl St.
This month, we'll discuss the classic novel The Milagro Beanfield War
by John Nichols. The New York Times Book Review describes it as "gentle, funny and transcendent," and the book promises to offer trenchant commentary on conflict over water rights and the Latino experience. The book club meets monthly and discusses a different fiction or non-fiction title at each meeting, always connected to social justice matters. Newcomers are welcome.
