Racial Justice at First Unitarian

Please consider getting involved in the Racial Justice Project. There are two easy ways to start:

1) Attend a Racial Justice Project Meeting. We meet the first Tuesday of each month at First Unitarian from 6:30-8:30p. Our next meeting will be on May 2.  We will be hearing about some exciting upcoming activities.  In addition, Amanda Trujillo will be leading a discussion about Interrupting Oppressive Language.  And most importantly, come help us wish Amanda well as she prepares to move to Oregon.  We’ll have cake to celebrate her many gifts to FUSD and our larger community.

2) Attend a Racial Justice Potluck. We meet the 2nd Sunday of the month after the second service. Our next meeting is May 21. There are two simultaneous potlucks; one for people of color and one for white allies. This is a great opportunity to have deep conversions about race.  We eat together first at 12:30 in the Rose Chapel.  Bring a dish if you’re able, but come even if you can’t bring food.  There’s always plenty to go around.  Find your group and get support or talk about what’s on your mind. All are welcome.
