Please note: The deadline for donations is April 9.  So far, we have 116 items entered into the auction software, although I know our Donation Coordinators have some more not yet entered.  Last year, there were 275 items in the catalog, so we're looking for more.  We will have the catalog available by April 23 so that you can look it over and plan your strategy for bidding!

Pursuant to the covenant between First Unitarian and its minister, Mike Morran is entitled to sabbatical leave very 5-7 years. His last sabbatical was in 2008-09, so he is overdue!!  The Board of Trustees has authorized a ministerial sabbatical from November 1, 2017 through April 1, 2018.

Church Women United of Colorado and the Colorado Council of Churches invite you to join us every Thursday during the Legislative Session. We will find time for conversation. to be present. to pray and to have a meal together. Being present can make a huge difference!

...collection of sermons from the Rev. Joseph S. Willis (d. 2002), A Faithful Agnostic Speaks: Prose, Paintings, and Poetry. Joe, as he was known to many, served as associate minister with the Rev. Robert Latham at Jefferson Unitarian Church in the 1990s. He filled the pulpit at First Unitarian on a number of occasions. The book was compiled and edited by Nancy (Willis) Roeder, his widow, who periodically attends First Unitarian.

May 20  9a-11a.  There are still spots available, if you would like more information about the training, please contact Erin to register.  This particular training will be done in two parts.  The first is a 2 hour online training to be done at your leisure prior to May 20th.  The second part will happen in person on May 20th.  Links to the online training will be provided once you are registered for the class.

A very special shout out to First Unitarian’s History and Legacy Committee Chair Susan Robertson, who wrote a successful $5000 grant application so First Unitarian can digitize and better preserve its fragile nineteenth- and early twentieth-century records.The grant, from the Colorado Historical Records Advisory Board (CHRAB), stood out as especially compelling due to the rich layer of personalities and anecdotes Susan shared in the application.

Two fabulous groups of volunteers are forming for folks of all ages and levels of experience.  Take this opportunity to meet new people and work together to move our First Unitarian renovation forward.  We need person power. Volunteers under the age of 18 are very welcome with parent permission.
