December 11 and 12 Book Talks with the Racial Justice Group

The Racial Justice Project is continuing its Book Talk program with two events in early December. Each session will analyze two important works by African -American authors: The Fire Next Time (1962) by James Baldwin and The Fire This Time (2016) edited by Jesmyn Ward, Taken together, these two books present a view of US race issues over the past 50 years. The books are available from Amazon and Tattered Cover. Books will also be sold on Sunday December 3rd in the foyer at Manual HS.
The first session is Monday evening December 11th from 7:00p to 9:00p in the Community Room at 1433 Williams Street. The second session is Tuesday December 12th from 1:00p to 3:00p in the small conference room at the Blair-Caldwell Library at 2401 Welton Street.
