Indivisible Book Group

Please mark your calendars and hit up your local library or bookstore! Our next meeting will be 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday October 9, at the First Unitarian Church at 1400 Lafayette St. We will discuss “The Resistance Handbook: 45 Ways to Fight Trump” by Markos Moulitsas and Michael Huttner. Moulitsas is the founder of Daily Kos, and Huttner is a Coloradan who founded ProgressNow. The book is easy to read, has a humorous tone, and is filled with practical suggestions that we can draw from to embellish our ongoing Indivisible activities.
We also picked the readings for the subsequent two meetings, so you can get a head start on them as well (meeting locations to be determined).
November 13: “We Rise: The Earth Guardians Guide to Building a Movement That Restores the Planet” by Xiuhtezcatl Martinez. The author, a young environmental activist and Boulder native, was most recently a guest on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
December 11: “The New Jim Crow: Mass Incarceration in the Age of Colorblindness” by Michelle Alexander.
